Decorations Bring Mardi Gras to Any Venue

by Gail Leino

Mardi Gras decorations are essential to throwing a Mardi Gras Party. This brightly colored festival is celebrated world wide and is recognized by the colors of purple, gold and green.

Decorations for a Mardi Gras are very easy to create and are available for purchase at almost any dollar, discount or party store. There are numerous websites available on the Internet selling decorations for this festive week. Once you purchase these items make sure to save them for the party the following year. This theme is always considered current and never goes out of style.

Terrific Mardi Gras decorations include banners, streamers, masks and feathers. Make sure to decorate your guests in traditional Mardi Gras beads. Having guests wear beads at the party instantly increases the fun in the room and everyone loves to wear free beads! No need to purchase these beads ahead of time if you can attend a Mardi Gras parade before the big event. Catch these beads and bring them home for a free party decoration and party favors.

Hanging plastic masks on the walls add a splash of color as Mardi Gras decorations. These masks typically have feathers either on the face of the mask or hanging off of the mask. Mardi Gras masks come in a variety of shapes and colors. You cant go wrong with masks!

When in doubt make sure the decorations for your Mardi Gras party are loud and brightly colored using the traditional Mardi Gras colors. Beads, boas, feathers and masks help accent the atmosphere of your Mardi Gras party.
